Through its past S.T.E.M. initiative, WDCAC introduced minority youth to potential career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  The chapter  promoted awareness through programs that provided students the opportunity to experience hands-on computer-based activities, technological advances and exposure to space and aeronautics. One highlight of the program was WDCAC’s annual culminating event, the “Dr. Gwendolyn E. Boyd S.T.E.M. is Everywhere Summit,” which provided an introduction for students to the application of S.T.E.M. careers that shape our everyday lives.
