Healthy Lifestyles

The Healthy Lifestyles Committee strives to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of healthy lifestyle changes that affect longevity, morbidity and mortality. The committee also identifies organizational alliances for WDCAC that will work to bring awareness to health issues and develop and implement health-focused programs within the chapter and communities it serves. This includes partnering with other organizations in hosting health fairs for the residents of the District of Columbia.

WDCAC also offers its members a health-focused program known as Delta S.I.Z.E.D. (Sorors Invigorated, Zealous, Energized, Determined) Challenge. This competitive physical activity initiative encourages members to get out and do any type of physical activity that can be measured in miles (e.g., walk, run, cycle, swim, row). The Healthy Lifestyles Committee is dedicated to bringing physical health consciousness to the forefront of the Sorority and our local community.
