Gospel Brunch

The Washington DC Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (WDCAC) and Washington, D.C. Alumnae Foundation (WDCAF), Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, invite you to our  5th Annual Sunday Gospel Brunch community fundraiser. This year’s event will feature the renowned gospel artist, DaNell Daymon & Greater Works, and local Christian comedian, Tanya Lewis. The Reverend Dr. Gwendolyn E. Boyd, prolific motivational speaker, powerful preacher, and the 22nd National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. This volunteer-run community fundraising event will take place on Sunday November 20, 2022, at Martin’s Crosswinds in Greenbelt, Maryland from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Meet Our Featured Guests

DaNell Daymon

This year’s event will feature nationally recognized gospel recording artist DaNell Daymon. DaNell Daymon and the Greater Works released their recording of their highly anticipated project “DaNell Daymon & Greater Works Live in Vegas” in March 2019. This project charted #19 on Billboards and with the critically acclaimed single “Worship & Praise” charting #16. For over a decade, DaNell has continuously foraged his own path to success, leaving an everlasting impact with everyone they encounter!

Kim Lewis

Graced with the spirit of heaviness, this anointed woman of God has an incredible stage presence and adds a great style.  She is the former manager and writer on the comedy page for Mr. Brown from the sitcom, “Meet The Browns”. Tanya has opened up for Marcus D. Wiley, Akitude, Chinnatra Morris amongst others. 2016 and 2018 Church Stars Comedienne of The Year Recipient. Tanya’s mission in life is to honor God and bring laughter to the Kingdom of God.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated  is a private, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located in the United States, Canada, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, West Africa, Southern Africa, and the Republic of Korea.

The Washington DC Alumnae Chapter (WDCAC) is a volunteer-powered chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. chartered in 1921. The over 500 members of WDCAC are committed to delivering impactful community-centered programming and awarding tens of thousands of dollars in academic scholarships to both new and continuing students.

The Washington, D.C. Alumnae Foundation, Inc. (WDCAF) exists to provide financial resources to fund community service programs and projects in Washington, D. C. targeted at building a stronger community and improving conditions for youth, the elderly, and families of the District of Columbia. The WDCAF is the fiscal partner for Sunday Gospel Brunch.
