On September 6, 2025, for the second consecutive year, the Social Action Committee partnered with the League of Women Voters – DC Chapter to staff its booth at the annual DC State Fair.
The 16th annual DC State Fair celebrated the District’s agricultural, culinary, and artistic talents through contests, local vendors, and community exhibits. At the League of Women Voters booth, WDCAC members registered eligible voters and educated attendees about DC Statehood initiatives.
During this critical time for the District, the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with residents, mobilize community engagement, and promote informed participation in the democratic process. Throughout the day, members interacted with hundreds of residents, reinforcing WDCAC’s ongoing commitment to advocacy, voter education, and civic empowerment.
Throughout the day, members engaged residents in conversations about voter participation and DC Statehood initiatives.
